few months ago, in one of the first entries in this blog, I mentioned the pleasant surprise that I had taken to go into the, especially then, unknown world of the literary blogosphere. I remember my surprise to find myself described against a handful of writers, all big fans, who poured their hopes, their sorrows and their joys on a computer screen, for free enjoyment of all who would come to their blogs.
Today, I come to you with a similar purpose: to gloss over the fantastic work of two writers little known, almost novel brimming with talent but who have recently managed to publish one of his works.
Darius I mean Vilas and Rafa Rubio, website administrators Horror Hispano, which undoubtedly will excel in this strange and unfair world of letters. For this, one of his first steps has been the emergence of a small book of short stories of mystery, "Imperfect Symmetry", set on an island devoid of humanity, where the human mind and only just egoism encourages its inhabitants.
The book consists of several independent stories, however, the authors have managed to baste each other by a very thin plot. In them, Rafa and Darius show a very dark character, anchored in a past so dark as these, whose lives are tragically dominated by the environment in which they live: the island of Symmetry, a piece of world reigns decadence, corruption and immorality, with an atmosphere as oppressive and disturbing that add to living there in a contagious and morbid despair that they are unable to escape.
then arises in their lives the horror, cruelty or sadism, sometimes small scalloped edging absurd or surreal, sometimes chaired by overwhelming realism that permeates to the bone to the reader and causes agonizing discomfort. Surge blood, fear ... terror.
Wisely, the authors combine incisive prose, very direct, with unquestionable style, poetic beauty, at times, "which creates a pleasant reading certainly helps create an easily imaginable scenario. Give us a wealth of sensations, sinister, for the most part, "that, for those curious recollections that come to our mind, we move to a chaotic landscape, devoid of love or humanity ANSI does not give that up. We add to the frustration, but most want to stay in it, turn the page and continue with the concern.
"imperfect symmetry" is, in short, a comprehensive and consistent set of distressing stories, which surely will mark the beginning of a relentless and successful career. Go from here, therefore, for the good times that their creativity has given me, my most sincere thanks.
